RELEASE DATE: 09/03/2010 - DIRT RODE finds John Tolley and the SNGWRTR BAND in fine form. The title suggests a journey taken with all the bumps and bruises that come with it. Like the dirt road itself, this album is a bit uneven and not without its rough patches.
FEAURED SONGS: "Right Track Wrong Train" sets expectations for the listener. "Never Been That Drunk" and "One True Saint" may have some looking for a different path to walk. The final track, "Godsend", reassures us all that though the path may be long and the road uneven, the journey leads us all home in the end.
FUN FACT: John's wife, Maria, inspired "Sofa King" while reading labels of various wines in a wine bar.
